As the six-year term of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) in Mexico is about to end, we must analyze what has been achieved by a government that set out to break with the model of savage neoliberalism implemented in the last three decades (from the government of Miguel de la Madrid in 1982 to Enrique Peña Nieto in 2018) to try to transform this country. The project has been known as 4 T (the Fourth Transformation). This paper presents a historical context of the Mexican political process to show above all the achievements of AMLO government and the ratification that democracy has made on June 2024 to continue and deepen the project through the president-elect also nominated by MORENA, Dra. Claudia Sheinbaum, for the period 2024-2030.
